I was born and raised in Prince George and grew up in a large and musical family. We were a family of 7 who were all very musical, some even said we could’ve became the next Von Trapp Family Singers. My first name, Áine (pronounced awn-ya), is the Irish name for Anna. My maternal grandmother, Anna, was born and raised in Ireland and would use her Gaelic name (Áine) when signing her paintings. This is were my mom got the name. I love the connection my name has to my heritage, even if it often gets mispronounced.
